Reading the room

So here, their stories begin to converge. Jade is genuinely interested in Claire here, for different reasons than she was the night before. She trusts that she's not a threat, but she still wants to get to the bottom of it and find out more about Claire. Meanwhile, Claire needs a friend, a lover, and a confidant. Jade needs the same things, though she might not realize it yet.
