Friendship Acquired!

If it wasn't clear from very early on in the comic, Jade is a very lonely, solitary person. Most of the people she knows are either romantic interests or people she has transactional relationships with (doctors, bartenders, etc.), and she hasn't let herself get close to anyone.

Essentially, Hannah is someone that Jade has needed in her life for a very, very long time.
