The Reason Why...
Okay, so this break is a bit different. This is a planned hiatus, with me planning to skip the Dec. 23rd update, with the comic resuming regularly on December 30th.
Fittingly, I'm leaving this one on less of a cliffhanger, and more of a puzzle:
Why did Hera wait?
There is a reason, that I feel like makes a lot of sense, and should be discernable if you've been reading the comic.
So, if you have an idea of the reason, leave a comment! I'm not trying to make a big, complicated mystery here. So this should be an easy one.

This has been one heck of a ride so far!
The only reason I can think of for Hera delaying the ritual is for Jade’s protection. Jade only having the knowledge up to the trials would have prepared her somewhat to survive and not enough to paint a target on her back. Given what the military and other shady organizations are dabbling in, I would not be surprised.
